ABOUT THIS PROJECT
Lil’ Skinny is the name of my first WordPress theme that won’t break down as soon as you use it with a website that it wasn’t initially designed for. This is a proper, generic, basic WordPress theme. Although lacking features to be desired such as customizer support – it does what it does well, and quickly: Provide a basic, hyper-simple theme for any basic WordPress site.
This theme was a personal exercise for myself to keep fresh with WordPress theme creation, CSS – and also tackle some new challenges. I’ve developed two separate ground-up themes for WordPress sites (One during my time at Maestro as a front-end dev, the other one for this very site) – but during both occasions I took full advantage of the wonderful situation that is purpose-built themes. I didn’t need to worry about using the customizer, or making a feature everything-proof. This theme was a challenge to myself to do the exact opposite. I feel like it turned out pretty well, all things considered!

Before you download the theme – I want to be clear that this was a very short-term personal project, meant mostly for self-improvement. Feel free to download and use this theme commercially or for personal use with that in mind. Use it as a starter theme, or use it as-is for ultimate theme laziness 🙂
